Tech Tips

Service Pack 1 for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7 has been Released. Click here to Read more about the 7.2 Patch.

Service Pack 1 (DNS7SP1Eng.exe) can be applied to all editions of NaturallySpeaking version 7 (English Only). The Service Pack cannot be applied to NaturallySpeaking versions earlier than 7. It also cannot be applied to NaturallySpeaking version 7 (French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch or the English portions of these multi-language products).

Issues Resolved

• The Philips USB SpeechMic should now work with all editions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7.
• The ability to export a user that is in use has been removed. Please switch to another user before exporting the currently loaded user.
• The Vocabulary Optimizer should no longer hang when there are no documents in the “My Documents” folder.
• There should no longer be an error when trying to create a user with a *.WAV file created with an Olympus Digital Recorder.
• The Speech Data (*.DRA) file saving options, “Never” and “Always” should no longer be the opposite. They should now work properly.
• The message “You need to increase of the size of the acoustic archives…” should stop appearing. Running the Acoustic Optimizer should also remove stored corrections, stopping the user files from continually growing larger.
• The “Reply to all”, “Reply to all with history”, and “Reply with history” commands should now function properly in Lotus Notes 5.
• The “Switch to” commands should now function properly when attempting to switch to the “Sample Commands” window.
• When making corrections in Microsoft Word, the value of the scroll buttons should no longer change from "Next Page" and "Previous Page” to “Next Find/Go to” and “Previous Find/Go to”.
• Internet Explorer should no longer run slow on computers running Windows XP and Symantec Norton CleanSweep. Please see this tech note for more detailed information.
• The ability to dictate "Vs." as "Versus" should now be available
