Welcome to the May edition of the VRnewsletter.  We are pleased to announce that we are now shipping version 7.0 editions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking legal, Medical and Professional.  These items are now available in both full product and upgrades from versions five and six.

We are also very proud of our brand new demonstration video that you can view online right now by clicking here.  This new demo will show some of the advanced features of the new version seven including simple macro creation, the read back command which allows text to be read out loud to you and you will get a chance to see and hear the speed and accuracy of the new version seven.  There is also some very interesting industry information this month that you will find below in our news features section.  ScanSoft will be acquiring Speech Works, Inc. and is also working with IBM to offer more choices and selections in the voice recognition area.

Tech Tips

ScanSoft Inc. has reported a few technical issues with the new version 7.0 and some digital recorders. We hope to see a resolution from ScanSoft in the very near future. However in the meantime our technical support department here at 21st Century Eloquence has been able to develop a workaround solution until a patch is released from ScanSoft. You can find it here.
