I recently installed a Turtle Beach Fiji sound card. While it works beautifully with NaturallySpeaking, I'm having a compatibility problem with DragonDictate. Actually, the card seems to work fine when I use my voice files from the previous sound card as well as when I run audio setup wizard on its own. But as soon as I go to set up a new user from DragonDictate, the audio setup wizard (which DD "toggles" to) no longer can detect sounds. And quick training (another "toggled to" application) intermittently freezes up taking as long as 30 seconds to register a sound. Also, again using the old voice files, I can toggle from DragonDictate to NaturallySpeaking and have it work without a problem. But when I toggle back to DragonDictate, it no longer hears any sound from the microphone.
The Turtle Beach Fiji is on the compatibility list for NaturallySpeaking but not for DragonDictate. I had assumed that its omission was due to Dragon's keeping the NaturallySpeaking list more up-to-date. But I fear that I am wrong. Does anyone else have any experience using DragonDictate with the Fiji card? Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
