vxi parrot translation box

The new "parrot translation box" from VXI Corp. sounds to be a significant improvement over the old bias box they used to sell. In particular, it seems to have features that filter out noise outside of the range of human speech. Has anyone had any experience with this product? Has anyone tried it with a non-VXI microphone? (I am trying to make any hardware changes prior to switching to Nat 3.0.)
