My medical school wants me to buy, specifically, a Dell Latitude with a =
Pentium II-233 that they are buying in bulk for all of their entering =
students... if there are reasons NOT to get the system, I have to =
convince them EXTREMELY soon, and they will want good reasons for me to =
get anything to other than the system that everyone else is getting ...
Questions:
1. I am used to being able to have the Internet connected and having =
other apps up while using NaturallySpeaking/natural text... is a Pentium =
II-233 going to be enough, ESPECIALLY with NaturallySpeaking 3.0's new =
features?
2. Is very reason to think that I might not be able to upgrade to a =
faster Pentium II in the future?
3. Although the Dell Latitude is on the hardware list at Dragon Systems, =
is this a "good" system for voice dictation (high signal to noise ratio, =
etc.)? With all of PC-MINT's info about being "optimized" for speech =
dictation, I want to make sure I'm not investing in a machine that will =
be sub-par... especially because I will not be able to afford another =
computer for a long time!
Thanks!
Aaron
