I'm looking at either a PC MINT, Micron, or... maybe... a Dell or
something... but I've heard good things about the first two.
A couple of questions:
1. Micron only offers up to a Pentium 266 MMX in anything but their newest,
most expensive, notebooks... if I decide not to spring for their Pentium II
notebook, I assume I should buy a system that either supports an AMD K6-300
(such as a PC MINT), or at least by a system that has a Pentium II, even if
it is slower than 300 MHz. I have always been served well by the idea that
I should get it least the newest TYPE of chip, even if not the fastest...
2. Would not be better to get a Pentium II-266, and get the architecture
that supports it, rather than an AMD K6-300?
3. Does anyone have any other appeals for a particular brand or model of
laptop, beyond what was discussed a few digests ago?
Many thanks,
Aaron
