Experiences with IBM Thinkpad?

Does anyone have any experience using the the on board MWAVE sound card
found in IBM Thinkpads with either Dragon NaturallySpeaking or IBM
ViaVoice? It looks like I'm going to have to get an upgraded laptop because
of the additional processing requirements for the new releases of both
products. My employer has standardized on IBM Thinkpad 740s.
