See Voice Strain Damage?

I've been using voice input many years. Until two years ago I never had
any voice strain problems. Then I caught a bad flu, continued to use
voice input, and my voice has never been the same-my vocal cords always
feel sore, my voice sounds hoarse, and talking above low volume makes
things worse.
I have been to two doctors, one of whom used a scope down my nose to look
at my vocal cords. Both have said they see nothing. Have other people
experiancing voice strain found the docs can see something abnormal in
their throats?
Thanks,
Larry
