We have been working with the SpeechMike buttons. There are some interesting
considerations. You can't use the numeric keypad keys which means with
NaturallySpeaking you have to change the default numeric plus and minus keys
to something else. There is also no easy way to "hold down" a key like
control. There is a SDK, but its very limited and its takes some effort to
write code to manipulate the LED displays. Finally, you need two serial
ports if you want to use both the SpeechMike and a system's standard mouse
or other pointing device. The good news is that two "mice" on the same
system co-exist without difficulty.The button software also has a very nice
feature that makes possible the use of a different macro library for each
executable file.
