The specifications for IBM ViaVoice state that it should be used on a
machine with the processor speed of at least 166MHz. So I'm not surprised
that things are little sluggish at times. I cannot say for sure whether
going to ViaVoice Gold will further degrade system performance. It depends
on how the program was written and its usage of system resources.
