Don't think I "splained" you right - I put it a thumb's distance OUT and
AWAY from the corner of my mouth - no where near the center. Just got
the Philips SpeechMike - it doesn't seem to care where I put it except I
have to put it at least 3 inches away from my mouth or it over drives.
Like the controls and the recognition with it is excellent but it is far
too heavy for me to hold for any length of time plus just holding my
arm/hand in about the same position for a long time is painful - going
back to my VXI Gold headset. Think that people who are uncomfortable
with a headset or who have a negative association (think they'll look
like a secretary) with a headset will prefer the Philips' mic.
