I have been using mine at work for 6 weeks now. It works as good or better
than any I've used with DD or NS over my 4+ years working with the different
versions of the products.
Two minor drawbacks. It takes 9 volt batteries which have a 2.5 hour
lifetime, so I tend to switch it on/off a lot to preserve battery life. The
mute switch sticks up over the flush surface of the belt pack but the on/off
switch doesn't. This is kind of dumb because the mute switch does not
conserve the battery (it still transmits the carrier signal) so you really
want to use the on/off most often to conserve power, but it is harder to get
at. I looked at the switches and they are not swapable.
Other than that it is a real solid unit with good sound clarity and
recognition rates. Also it has a lot of gain and if desired you could easily
split the signal and have plenty of gain to get good recognition since the
base reciever unit is powered (some people want to use one microphone to
control 2 different machines for instance).
