I wanted to let you know that I am having the very same problems with
recognition as you are. Except that my recognition seems to be even
worse. I often have to correct at least three errors in each sentence.
I have also tried most of the tips given by members of this voice
activation support group. I have been careful to correct errors in the
proper manner and follow the directions on Rose's and Joel's Web pages.
I also get the exception error that shuts down my computer. This
recently happened during a law school exam. The only reason that I'm
sticking with this use because my disability prevents me from typing in
the faster. My recognition is no higher using DragonDictate 3.02.


i have Windows 95 B. My system is a 233 MHz MMX with 64 MB of RAM and a
3 GB hard drive petitioned into two drives. I have a Yamaha OPL3-SAx
Audio chip on an Everex SK laptop computer. I have NaturallySpeaking
Deluxe with natural word and natural tax loaded. It seems to make no
difference whether a dictate into NaturallySpeaking or Microsoft Word
97.


To add to my frustration, NaturallySpeaking has now begun to interpret
hard drive noise as words. When my hard drive begins to run, I may get
a string of: at the he cat back at the in the act at that in the middle
of my sentence. My worst case scenario happened during another law
school exam. I went to select two essay questions to paste word 97
(because I was unable to dictate directly into word because I received
an exception fault), as I was clicking the copy button the hard drive
started working and NaturallySpeaking interpreted the sound as words and
wiped out half of mine exam. Because NaturallySpeaking does not have
multiple undue commands, there was nothing I could do except light back
the two years (fight back the tears) and start over again.


What I have just written is not representative of the number of the
errors actually made because I had to correct the Ayers to make sense
sound when I was actually trying to say. But it is incredibly
frustrating to work in this hard with this program and have
disappointing results. I have no whether to waste (no other choice) but
to make this work. I have only one year to make this work flawlessly,
because I Beaumont halftime (I will not have time) to correct multiple
layers (errors) during the Bar Exam.


I understand that recognition use more difficult on the laptop.
However, given my disability I have the choice (no choice). I am
feeling very hopeless at this point because everyone is pointing fingers
at everyone else. Everex says their computers are falling (fine) and in
the process of becoming certified for use with DragonDictate and
NaturallySpeaking. DragonTech support says that it is my falls (fault)
because I did not choose one off of their approved list. Idea however
(I did however) choose one recommended by my VAR. Wiped in a person to
(what can a person do) when an agency decides to purchase a less
expensive computer that has recommended (than is recommended)? It is
difficult to demand the $6000 Toshiba computer when you have other needs
as well.


The one to know (I want you to know) that I'm not illiterate. However,
if I were to leave line (my) vacation on corrective (dictation
uncorrected), it would certainly seen that way (seem that way). I know
that this message is difficult to read, however unwanted sheet to get it
tastes (however I wanted you to get a taste) have (of) how pervasive and
frequent the errors are. Remember, that this is even simple email
without technical legal terms or other formal language. A 50 have any
ideas please help me. (If you have any ideas, please help me)!! In
order to compete in the bagel fields for John (in the legal field for a
job), it is imperative that IV into rights (that I be able to write)
quickly and professionally.
