A friend of mine says he got it while being coached through a problem he had
with @@Home's(cable modem ISP) version of Netscape 4.0 . I haven't found it
either. @@Home told him to load Service Pack 2 but he says he couldn't find
it and found Service Pack 3? He also said he spent the better part of an
hour "noodling" around at the MS site before he found the pack. I'm trying
to get him to send me the link to the page on which he says it was found but
so far haven't heard back from him. He says he bookmarked it so he could
get back there if he needed to? I'll continue to look.
Others, who probably know more about this than I, have posted messages the
last few days concerning this "b" fix and say they don't think it's a real
fix or patch, more likely it is a version only released on new systems from
several vendors? At any rate I'll continue to try and find something
tangible to report. I have begun to suspect that this friend of mine might
have been running the "B" version released on new systems since all I can
find on the MS site is Service Pack 1.
Sorry for the confusion!
