[ sorry for my earlier misinformation re: the Windows key ]
I am looking for a decent Win95 calendar/schedule management program which
is voice-friendly, as well as (if possible) useful DragonDictate macros for
managing that application. Desirable qualitities also include the app's
ability to run (in a state where it will popup reminders) without consuming
one of my Taskbar slots. Also, it would be nice to not consume much system
resources when running in background, to avoid dragging down my system.
I have access to the scheduler built into Outlook in MS Office 97. This
seems OK if I could get some good macros for it, although (??) apparently
it must run (minimized) in order to provide reminders, thereby taking up
one of my Taskbar slots. Any advice on this would be welcome.
I looked at a variety of shareware yesterday, but didn't find anything that
looked good without a relatively short-term time-bomb. Since this is for
my office, it is hard to deal with shareware which I then have to pay for
quickly (since I work in such a fascinating bureaucracy). So, I'm
primarily interested in freeware or not-too-expensive commercialware which
is relatively easy to procure (i.e., sufficiently well-known as not to
trip-up the procurement folks).
I have some nice DragonDictate macros for the (Unix) CDE calendar, from my
old job, if anyone would care to have them.
TIA,
- Jonathan
