Software like this is vital to the survival of the whole human race. Look
at how many visions of the future there are where the computers take over
utterly: "The Terminator", "The Forbin Project", the Daleks from "Dr. Who"
etc.
Software and computers must crash periodically to allow us humans an
opportunity to keep it from taking over the earth. The more intelligent
the software gets, the more this is true.
