Not only is in based in the U.S., they started it in a cow barn, they
would have you believe. I have never met a Gateway owner who has not
been very happy about the product and the company. However, on some of
my other lists, there have been complaints lately about a possibly
overworked customer support staff getting rude.
BTW they finally settled their dispute with the North Carolina company
that had the domain name they sought since virtually day one of the
Internet. You can now reach their website with http://www.gateway.com/
