natural text and key delay

I'm also irritated by the extremely slow nature of natural text. In
addition, despite downloading the patch for Microsoft Office, natural
word is significantly slower than dictation into the NaturallySpeaking
window. I'm confused about where to turn off the key delay. Can anybody
explain it in a little more detail? I would greatly appreciate it.
