What might be happening, is that the User Calibration is running into
problems communicating with its server. Unfortunately, its attempts to
notify You, the user, of this are hindered by the fact that the error
message box appears behind the General Training window. Fortunately, you
should still have control of the mouse and should be able to minimize or
drag the General Training window out of the way. Once this has been done,
you will find an error with the following message:
"The action can not be completed because the other program is busy, click
the appropriate button on the taskbar to activate the program and correct
the problem." Cancel/Retry
If you click on the Retry button, NaturallySpeaking will continue
processing the calibration and will then be able to complete General
Training. It is possible that the message box may appear a few more times
later on the training but should not cause any recognition problems.
If this does not work run scandisk, defrag, and delete your temp files.
Also make sure you have at least 100mb of free disk space on your C drive
so there is enough room for Virtual Memory.
Let me know how it works and I apologize for the inconvenience. If this
does not work reply with my name in the Subject field and we can continue
to troubleshoot this problem. Also include your system specs i.e. CPU
speed, amount of RAM, free disk space, type of soundcard, and operating
system and your dragon.log file.
