That being said, the most general-purpose telephone connector
gadget that I know of is a "phone patch". This is a device used by
amateur radio operators to connect the telephone line up to their
radios. Unfortunately, a phone patch expects to see a powerful signal
coming out of the radio ( the radio's audio output ). It also expects
to supply a low-level signal out to the radio ( to the radio's mike input ).
This is the exact opposite of what you need for a headset!
