Someone will eventually bundle full hands free command and control,
Including voicable mouse control, with continuous speech dictation
which is entirely 32 bit. If Dragon won't do it I'm relatively sure
IBM, Kurzweil or Microsoft will oblige.
I used to work for a large electric utility company with 800 folks
supporting the DP division. One of the VPs had seen the movie "Star
Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)." In this movie there is a scene
where the chief engineer Mr. Scott attempts to speak to an '80s PC.
The next day the VP came to work and told the people in R&D "I want
that!" It wasn't doable at the time but he wanted it because he saw
its power. Many others feel the same way. Hopefully Dragon hasn't
completely forgotten its roots.
