an answer in the voice-users archive, so here goes:
I reinstalled my soundcard software and did some other tweaking of
multimedia settings--and now none of my .wav files play automatically
when I click on them.
I discovered this because, when I clicked on the audio.wav in NatSpeak
to hear what I sounded like, it came up with a pop up window asking me
what file the .wav file should be associated (opened) with. So, I chose
sndrec32.exe as the file that wave files should be associated with.
Now, when I click on a wave file, it brings up the sound recorder (just
like it used to), but the sound doesn't play automatically--I have to
manually click on "play" to hear the sound. What do I need to do to fix
this? It's not a big deal, but still--I want it back like it was!!
