to unsub from an automated email list, it is crucial to know two things.
1. how did you sub? did you send a command to a certain address?
exactly what was that address? it was not the list's address that sends
out mail to everyone on the list.
2. what really was your email address on the account that you used to sub
to that email address? and does your current software somehow change how
that address looks to a computer program reading it?
in most cases, you need to duplicate the original conditions to unsub
yourself. otherwise you need to write to the listowner to get him to
manually do it for you. he has been away.
i would advise against subbing again in an attempt to unsub, since then
you may get two copies of the email.
