Thanks to judy and andy for helping to confirm reality. the messages sure looked like an advertising device to me. it would be interesting to know if the person who wrote it is paid directly by kurzweil or is a reseller, etc. i actually like it when professionals associated with vr post to a list as long as they are giving info. rather than pushing their product, and if they are honest about their position and that they stand to gain financially if people buy the product. good examples of the above were posts from peter cohen and scott jangro (both associated with dragon products). they posted on sorehand and a2x for a number of years. they gave info and didn't push the product. i don't like it if the above conditions are not true. if the writer of the below cited kurzweil message doesn't receive financial gain for writing the message, i would like to know if his field of expertise is marketing. hey, advertisers get rsi's, etc., and sometimes need vr. that must be where he learned the language. ;-) qi (btw- i get no financial gain from the selling of dragon products, but who knows, maybe some day i'll switch fields. i just respect honesty, esp. in my email inbox.)
