A quick reply (rsi):
I used my own for several months (built it out of a trackball & sewing
machine pedals), and now use Hunter digital's (the above). Using my feet
has saved my job, but:
-it takes a bit of getting used to (about 3 weeks), esp. hunter. Like
learning to drive again
-I've had back/leg cramps, possible onset of rsi in feet/legs. I now
walk/go to the gym a lot
Hunter:
-has an anti damping feature, which sucks. Means mouse keeps drifting if
you've rested your feet on pedals. Need to lift feet for about 2 seconds
for it to reset.
-driver doesn't have enough range. ie it's either precise, but very
slow, or fast & imprecise. I've tried tweaking the ini file, with some
success.
-they don't have an nt4 driver
-becomes very intuitive after a while - cursor movement is much better
and smoother than my trackball job
I was thinking of a head mouse (laser), but I'd much prefer leg cramps
to neck cramps. When brain implants come out, I'll get a beta release
8-)
All in all, I find footmouse + DD to be a good solution for prog'ing
(that is, if you're handless/rsi'd). DD for boilerplate code,
declarations, etc; footmouse for form painting, etc.
Yours, ///
