Dear All, I have just decided that I need to get up to speed on vr software...and start using it rather than sweating over the keys. I have just come across a deal here in Sydney which seems quite good, but it's the opposition! Freshware (a bundle of IBM and Lotus sw including Lotus 123 and OS2/Warp- which I will probably not use- plus free Voice Type Version 3.0 and including headset microphone for $AU499.00). What I want to know is- what's the difference between Kurweil, IBM Voice Type and DD. And what are the disappointments of them all. I will be using the sw to dictate medico-legal reports. I'm hoping it will enable me to work without a typist, and dictate when I'm traveling to country appointments using a laptop. I know that it will take time to train whatever sw I choose but I'm keen not to throw my money away on the offer if there are big problems. Can anyone advise? Yours Steven Davison Sydney Australia
