I frequently hit 94% recognition although not as=20 frequently as I'd like. There was a thread about laptops a few months ago in which people=20 discussed some of the problems with laptop audio. My take on it is=20 that laptop audio is questionable at best (I need to ground the case to=20 get good recognition) and even if your machine starts out good, it may=20 change. odd things that seem to affect recognition for me are: grounding time since last reboot (95 decays with time. I need to reboot 2-3=20 times a day. I wish DD ran on linux ) application running (word 7 and Netscape are associated with terrible=20 recognition but emacs and=20 ClarisWorks are fine) network activity (have ne2000 PCMCIA and the greater the network=20 activity, the lower the recognition) background impulse noise (clanks, pings, barks,...) --- eric Eric S.
