Alain, you wrote: >Whenever I am correcting a word in DD and say "Choose 2", DD >understands "Choose 10". Now I would like to correct this mistake and >tell DD that what I really meant was "Choose 2"... I think others have already told you how to do it through "find word" or the vocabulary manager. However, the fundamental problem -- ever since Ver. 2 was released -- has been confusion of words that start the same but end differently. The problem was at its worst with 2.0, but is still annoying. To reduce confusion over choices I have: 1. Reduced the number of choices to 4 + "choose 10". I have not only reduced the displayed choice list to this number, but have also deleted the actual commands. 2. I am currently using "take 1-4" and "choose 10", which seems fairly reliable with Ver. 2.51. With versions 2.0x, I had to resort to "first choice", "second choice"... "try again". 3. As it fairly routinely misses on plurals (as it did on that one), I have added a macro called "add s" -- those who know Kurzweil Voice will know where that comes from. There are a few other things that are/were consistently misrecognized, such as 8 for y, that I have had to devise work-arounds for, and I must say that, in general, the recognition does not seem as good as in Windows Ver. 1.3 or DOS 3. :-( John Armstrong
