Has anyone any ideas and/or experience on the relative merits of the InCube vs DD products? After taking a close look at DD I have decided to consider InCube. My primary goal is to reduce RSI in my pointer hand by reducing pointer use, much of which is involved with selection of menu commands. DD seems kind of pricey for this application and the error rate by a trained user seems too high for dictation so long as I can continue to type comfortably. The VR solution must be able to control all applications in the environment since I use programs like FrameMaker which are too specialised to be included in the basic suites that come with low-end programs. The InCube site does not seem to reflect much technological progress recently, or did it reach such a high level of functionality that not much needs to be done? Since the above products are Windows related (the Mac version of DD must be the full blown one at $2000 to meet my requirement to access all programs!) I wonder if there might be an equivalent solution for the Mac environment? I am also considering finding a macro program to link the F keys to the most frequently called commands. One issues that continues to amaze me is how DD has the nerve to charge $125 for a macro book; since macros seem an essential part of running commands, this information ought to be in the documentation of the product. (Please, just my opinion, not an invitation to a flame war!) THanks in advance. Jerry Halberstadt New Technology Publishing
