Chuck, The sound card provided by " Gateway ",Ensoniq-Soundscape VIVO,Wavetable. Works perfectly with DragonDictate 2.51 and IBM VoiceType 3.01. My CD ROM is constantly playing everything from the Rolling Stones to Mozart. I'm sorry, I'm an not skilled to help you diagnose your problem. Good Luck, sound cards seem to be the weak link in these systems.
