Integrating speech recognition into your applications offers several advantages depending on your application.  Of course, not all applications should be voice enhanced.  For instance, voice activating windows explorer probably wouldn't be beneficial.  However voice enabling a game would (given the user has the super requirements necessary to run speech recognition and your game at optimum levels).

Please note, we are just covering development for the purpose of transcribing text or command and control into windows applications.  We do not cover integration into hardware devices or computer telephony solutions.
