  • Features

    VoiceCompanion® Voice Commands

  • The user can perform actions within software applications by saying VoiceCompanion's intuitive voice commands. Because these commands carry out a series of operations, users can perform many actions more quickly by voice than by mouse and keyboard alone. To the user, these operations appear as a single command. In comparison, with the conventional graphical user interface the user would have to perform each operation step by step.
  • VoiceCompanion Cue Cards

  • VoiceCompanion cue cards offer a list of available commands to assist new users in learning how to interact with OfficeTALK. VoiceCompanion takes the user through a quick step-by-step process which completes the command and teaches the user simultaneously. As the user becomes more familiar with the voice commands available, he or she can simply speak the command phrase instead of using the cue cards.
  • Address Book

  • The Address Book manages the user's contact information. With a few simple voice commands, the user can search, browse, merge and add addresses, telephone numbers and other data. In addition, the Address Book can import/export data to and from popular packages such as Lotus Organizer®, Act!® and GoldMine(TM), or any standard comma-delimited formatted data from other databases.
  • Business Templates

  • OfficeTALK's specialized voice templates for letters, memos and faxes allow the user to create complex documents with a polished look. Users can easily enter "voice markers" to voice-activate their own existing forms or design new ones. OfficeTALK's templates come with a "marker hint" box which prompts users as to what information to enter when they move from voice marker to voice marker.

    OfficeTALK's voice templates work in conjunction with the Address Book's merge capability to minimize time spent on tasks like addressing a letter. Additionally, the "merge-only-once" facility requires the user to merge information only into the first of a series of templates. As the user opens up additional templates, necessary information from the same record is merged automatically into the additional templates. For example, the user can say "create letter" and merge the appropriate address. Once the letter is complete, the user can say "create envelope" and information from the same contact's record is inserted automatically into the envelope.

  • Accurate

  • OfficeTALK features a comprehensive English dictionary including commonly-used business terms. Users can attain high recognition rates. Using OfficeTALK's correction facility, more than 93 percent accuracy is achieved.

  • Dictate 70-100 words per minute, depending on computer configuration and speaking habits.
