VXI Launches
Comprehensive
PARROTT OEM Headset Product Line
ROLLINSFORD, NH, June 18,
1999- VXI Corporation recently announced a new comprehensive OEM
line of headsets for its Parrott speech recognition brand. The new
line was launched in its entirety for the first time at TechTALKS,
an industry forum on Technology About Language, Knowledge and
Speech, held at the World Trade Center, Boston.
The headset is a critical component to optimizing speech recognition
performance and accuracy. VXI's Parrott, The Speech Recognition
Headset, is one of the leading and best performing headsets for
speech recognition applications. The award winning Parrott brand has
been selected by several of the major OEM software developers of
speech recognition as the primary headset for inclusion with their
product. VXI's experience and expertise has led to the development
of a broad line of products to meet the different needs of OEM
manufacturers.
The new Parrott OEM line consists of an ABS headset with a matte
finish, a ratcheted headband and a superior quality noise canceling
microphone. This headset can be customized with many additional
features such as:
-
A flexible microphone
boom or a lower cost non-flex boom
-
A receiver for audio
feedback
-
Ear loops when
receivers are not required
-
The Parrott Translator™,
winner of the 1998 CTI Product of the Year Award, for universal
compatibility and improved microphone performance
-
An "on/off"
switch
-
The "Keep
Alive" mute which allows the user to turn off the
microphone yet provides a continuous signal to the software so
it does not enter "Sleep Mode" which may cause a delay
in restarting.
-
Color options,
including translucent for headset components.
-
Pad printing on the
headset for private label requirements
The Parrott line can be broadly
customized for a company's specific needs.
