There is a disconnect between the way the Olympus Editor program encodes the .wav and what Dragon NaturallySpeaking looks for to read the .wav file during the training process. How to resolve: 1. After you have completed training with the Olympus digital recorders download the audio file to the PC via a USB cable or a media card reader. 2. Launch the Olympus Editor program, convert file to .wav and save to hard drive 3. Launch Microsoft Sound Recorder found at Start>>Programs> Accessories>Entertainment>Sound recorder 4. Open the .wav training file >Click File>Open> Navigate the location in which you saved the .wav file, select the file and choose open. 4. Save the training file .wav file format 5. Use the new saved .wav file to complete training. IP: Logged |

Hi Krish,Does this only apply to while training the Olympus recorder user file? In other words, after the _training_ file is treated as such, then do the regular WAV files from the Olympus need to also be treated like this, or does one just input them in the normal manner? Regards, Tom IP: Logged |

Tom:What are you doing up at 3 a.m.? I found after training the Olympus recorder that you can transcribe the wav files without running them through the voice recorder. I have been impressed with the recognition accuracy after training - much better than version 6. Mike IP: Logged |

Hi Mike,Hey, Dude, I'm in Alaska! 3am on Krish's Florida forum is just 11pm on my Anchorage clock. Conversely, just don't expect to see any posts from me on the forum between 4am and noon, Florida time. Glad to hear about the improved DNS7 recognition with the Olympus recorders. Mine was already pretty good, but I had to dictate like Walter Winchell in a quiet environment for it to work that-a-way. All improvements are always welcome. Say Mike, drop me an email at tswans@gci.net and I'll send you some great Alaskan photos. Tom IP: Logged |

Hello Tom and Mike, lost track of this string. Tom how is your DM1 working out with DNS? are you on Pro or Preferred?Mike what is new with you? Everything working out ok? As Mike stated once you have completed training, there are no other problems. You can open the the files through the Transcribe Recording window without resaving them through the sound recorder.
