Dear Sir,
I am in the process of learning to use my new copy of Kurzweil Voice
version 2.5. I have several questions which I would like to pose
concerning the product.
1) multiple instances of an application. For example: netscape, or
WordPad. As you know, when one has already opened and minimized a copy
of certain applications, a second " open-application " command results
in a second instance of the program being initiated. I read through the
information available in the help file and it mentioned " aliases ",
however, other than mentioning this possibility, no information was
provided as to how to make use of it. Could you give me such
information or direct me to a location on your home page where I may I
how to use this facility.
2) I seem to have no " global words " section of the " active words "
menu (???). I was able, however, to programs a new command which would
be used throughout any applications by placing it in the "windows
command " section of that windows. Is this in installation failure or
an accidental deletion? Is there some way I could place a new " global
words " section in the active words menu? What should I do?
3) I notice that the " open mouse " command can be used to move the
mouse. It is straightforward in operation. However, is there any set
of commands or any possibility of the user creating such a set himself
which would move the mouse without requiring opening the mouse windows?
For example: A command like " mouse-up " would start the mouse moving
vertically up at a (hopefully user specified) given rate. Another
problem with the " open-mouse " command and mouse utilization is that it
seems that when the mouse window is closed using the command " close ",
the system loses context. That is, the window from which the mouse
window was called is no longer the selected window. Can this problem be
corrected?
Hope you get to answer my questions soon. Product support is
important, particularly when the competitors are beginning to flex their
muscle.
Sincerely Yours,
Michael Powers
