Kurzweil VoicePro generates fault with Internet Explorer 4&5

Unfortunately, I downloaded from Microsoft's homepage both Internet Explorer 4.0 & 5.0 beta versions. Since then I can't use K. VoicePro to do operations like respond to "start-menu" without it (Explorer) crashing. Is there anyway, short of deleting all my software and reinstalling Win 95 with Internet Explorer 3.0, to get VoicePro to do operating commands again? Please answer; I'm desperate! Thanks.
