Via Crashes Out!

Having read a few posts hear about the problems encountered with Via Voice I am tempted into the conclusion that this product is no longer for me (and my wife). We had installed it (on two different Pentiums) a number of times. Initially some success was achieved (though additional training didn't do much to improve accuracy). It was not long however before the installation of a driver for an internal modem caused VV to crash with the dreaded "memory allocation error" and the only choice was a reinstall. Then it crashed just towards the end of the training session with all training lost. Installed on a completely different machine it worked somewhat tardily until some other program was installed which again caused a crash resulting in the need to reinstall and train yet again. This has gone on for sometime. Evidently the product is too unstable to support a coexistence with a range of other programs. I notice in the documentation it recommends a clean boot of Win 95 without other programs' drivers being loaded. Well that's fine if you can dedicate a computer entirely to VR and very little else. So looks like Dragon might be a better bet.
