VVoice and modern sound cards

The system requirements for VVoice 98 stipulate a 16 bit sound card. In this day and age that's an antique. Does anyone know if VV98 will support more advanced models like a SoundBlaster PCI 512, SB Live, Aureal Vortex 2 or Diamond Monster Sound 3d/MX200/MX300. All of these new cards require amplified speakers. Will that cause problems with VV? Any help greatly appreciated. Off list msg would be very nice.
