Help! Choice of voice recognition gift for a Grandfather

Any advice on selection of a voice recognition program would be appreciated. My Grandfather has compiled 60 years of daily memories to journals, and he enjoys typing them into email on a daily basis and sending them to family. His sentences do not require high vocabulary; they are basic little "snapshot" phrases of things he did on particular days of his life. He uses many proper names, cities, etc. I want to spend less than $80. Any suggestions? Grandpa would appreciate it! It's his 80th!!!
