PowerSec. personal edition Claris problems

I have been train a disabled student on Powersec. Personal edition 2.07. After the initial training we went into Clarisworks.
Problem: When correcting errors it would correct the wrong word or go up to the top line, erase most of it and add the substitution or other strange words. Is there a bug or extension conflict when working with Clarisworks? It did some other unusual thing when we changed the size of the text, also

Any ideas?
