: I understand that DNS deluxe edition has the option to choose
: vocabulary size (either 30, 45, or 60K) and that DNS preferred
: edition comes with a 30K vocabulary. Does anyone have any
: thoughts on or experience with the difference that a larger
: vocabulary size makes with respect to accuracy or speed of
: recognition?

There's some misunderstanding/misinformation here - both editions have the same TOTAL vocabulary (230,000 words) - the Deluxe Edition permits the selection of one of three ACTIVE (in memory) vocabularies which is part & parcel of the TOTAL vocabulary - the larger the ACTIVE vocabulary, the more RAM is needed in order to maintain the sane speed and accuracy - hope this helps
