: : : : Apparently there is a new release from Dragon Systems called NaturallySpeaking Preferred Edition (not to be confused with Deluxe edition). While it is supposedly being positioned as a mid-range product between Personal and Deluxe, it has almost ALL the features of Deluxe, including multi-user capability, text-to-speech, and larger vocab. It began shipping on November 5, according to Dragon, and has a list price of $199, although Tiger Direct, in a telephone interview, stated they will be selling it for $170. According to Dragon, the Deluxe Edition also began shipping on November 5. If the new Preferred edition is $170 - $199, and coming soon to a mail-order catalogue near you, I don't understand why Dragon Systems would continue to produce the Personal Edition, unless they're planning to lower its price well below $100 to compete with IBM. Thoughts?
: : : The Personal Edition is still an option, if you just want to input text. The Preferred Edition will be great for the general market while the Deluxe is going to be used mostly by businesss professionals such as doctors and lawyers, because of its macro capabilities(big plus), bigger vocabulary and premium quality headset(better accuracy).
: : : Just a thought.
: : From Brad:
: : I phoned Tiger Direct in an attempt to buy Naturally Speaking Preferred Edition.
: : They said they only had one version for $179-with an additional $30 rebate. They could not tell me whether this was the Personal Edition or the Preferred Edition (I presume it was the Personal Edition at that price).
: : I would very much like to purchase the Preferred Edition at $170 if I can find a reseller selling it at that price.
: : Marsha, could you or anyone give me more specific information on who (name and phone #) to contact to obtain the price you indicated on your previous posting?
: : Thanks, Brad
: Marsha, I too will buy the Prefered Editon If you will help us all find out where to buy it.
: Thank you, Mike

:I, on the other hand, may want to change my order. I ordered the personal edition and agreed to upgrade when the Deluxe Edition was released. Now there's talk of this enhanced edition that does almost everything that the deluxe edition does but at half the price?
Whazzup? What are the differences between this new intermediate edition and the deluxe edition?
Thanks.
