The following is a quote from one of the transcription staff member on our VOICE team;

"I am really glad to hear from someone else who is doing something similar.

I know what she means about it seeming slower to re-dictate. For some Dr's I can redictate faster than others. It is useful when I have typed all day and then use it as an alternative to typing. I did time myself though and with some of the more routine dictations that don't require much correction, if any at all, it can be at least the same or faster to redictate.

I have really only been using this as a method of refining my own voice profile for the purpose of experimenting with this voice profile.

My intention is to play the dictation (either via Lanier or Voice it or HB0 Voice module) into the document. I need to have a voice profile that demonstrates a good example of what a well-corrected profile can do.

Yesterday I learned from Elfriede that Word documents will allow us to use the "correction" feature and "play back" features and this is really good news!

I hope to start using Drs. voice profiles as soon as I get a good system going with my own voice profile.

So in summary, I am using the same method as this transcriptionist but not really with the intention of it being the ultimate h.

Thanks for letting me know about this comment, EJ. It is helpful to know she is arriving at some of the same findings. "
