We are aware of the availability of canned medical vocabularies - but we
feel that with very localized specialties it would be more efficient to
share user built dictionaries. The canned versions will have generalized
terms but the very specialty specific terms and references will not
likely be included (one specialty we are interested in is Pathology). If
we could team up with other Pathology staff utilizing Dragon - we could
share dictionaries that would be less general. While cost is always a
concern, our main concern is that the general medical dictionaries may
not be as effective as user built dictionaries.

I have cc'd this message to Elfriede Schmidt our VOICE project leader to
answer your questions.

Thanks again for your response
