The more RAM you add to those machined, the better. The minimum you should have is 128 megs. I would even suggest going higher if you can afford it. Those programs run very well with a lot of memory in them, otherwise they suck up all the computers resources and slow it down. It will be well worth the investment if you decide to do the upgrade.

: I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking as my normal mode of text entry however it is not my exclusive mode. When I have been using the keyboard for a while -- coding or modifying Excel templates -- and then switch back to Dragon NaturallySpeaking there is a long delay. I can hear the hard drive working, so I assume NaturallySpeaking is re-loading the active vocabulary.

: Is there any way I can make these transitions occur more rapidly? If necessary I would be willing to purchase a RAMdisk or other hardware so that I could conveniently moved from typing to speech recognition.
