I am in the process of creating a system to optimize speech recognition. I have chosen NaturallySpeaking as the the VR program. Now I need to know the optimum components for my new system. For example: What soundcard is the best? What microphone is the best?

I have already surmised from reading post that the fastest processor is the best. Are there any other suggestions for what I'm building?
