I am stuck with an expensive lap top and a sound card on which I need to get NatSpeak working.
The problem is the Audio Wizard cannot set the soundcard's volume, so training will not proceed and NS will not start.
More to the point, NS cannot set a volume level from information from the wizard.
As a workaround, if I could just get NS training to start without needing a volume setting from the Wizard or trying to set the sound card volume, I can set the record volume manually on the multimedia record mixer. The laptop is a SONY VAIO 505FX (internal audio too "low a quality") and the card is a Roland SCP-55 which is a very high end card that produces high quality WAV files.
I'm stuck with this laptop on which the keys are too small for major writing. If I could hire someone to hack the soundcard into the machine and get NS going, I'd be very grateful.Contact me directly at:Rabbit649@AOL.com.
