Uninstalling IBM Via Voice Gold

Could anyone please help me in uninstalling IBM Via Voice Gold. I have it on my desktop PC and now want to use this PC for mostly just a Word Processor. My husband, not being a typist, installed the Via Voice program and he does not at this time use this PC. I find the inconvenience of waiting for the Via Voice program to load too time consuming. I know that I could just hold the shift key and the program would not load but if I forget to do it I am left waiting.
I tried to uninstall it by using the "Add/Remove Programs" on the Control Panel but when I open Microsoft Word 97 it still loads and all the components are still listed under Programs. I am running Window 95 on a 166MHz Pentium Processor.
My husband will be using the program on another PC but I would like to eliminate it completely from this PC. PLEASE! Someone out there must have uninstalled this program before, please, any info would be greatly appreciated. "Desperate"!!!
