I purchased a copy of Via voice 4.3 and did the training enrollment. My initial results were about the same as yours. However, I did a second enrollment under a differrent User Name to use for scientific applications. After this enrollment I opened the IBM notepad and did a series of specific sentences from other papers that I had done. These included words such as psychology psychologist, sociology, sociologist, neuro-psychology, neuro-psychophysiology, statistics, statistical ... Etc. I then did a series of toungue twisters at a moderate speech rate. Afterwards I did very careful error correction that included both single and multiple words, and deleted any phrasing that was unrecognizable and closed the notepad.
It is my understanding that usage of this program increases accuracy. Apparenty, it does for after doing this I reopened the notepad and dictated the same words and phrases and the accuracy increased to approx 85%. I then went through the same error correct procedure as before and my accuracy is now up to 93% and improving. Being specific in the supplimental training appears to help a great deal.
My problems are in the interface with MS Word 7 & Office applications . Since installation my Word applications tell me that I have performed an illegal operation and shut down; but only after I have closed the program. Also, the save function seems overly complex. Any suggestions??
