As a student at PSU I am trying to find out if voice recognition software would work as a solution for a case study I am working on. I'm writing a proposal for a ficticious company to upgrade their IS and I'm looking at VRS as a possible solution. Could VRS be used to take orders from sales staff in the field? I think this would allow orders to be placed and in the system within minutes versus several days for the system currently in use. Only I don't know if this is feasable.
Is this possible? Would any additional hardware or software be required other than a 1-800-number for the sales staff to place orders? Are there other considerations I should take into account?
